This past weekend we went to Cache Valley to help celebrate Sam's retirement. (Darin's Dad) Marilyn, being the fun party woman she is, had little necklaces for the grand kids, with pictures of grandpa Sam. And they all got cute little camo fishing hats to use later in the day when they went fishing!!

The kids just LOVE playing with their cousins non-stop!!! The weather was great, so they were outside a lot. Whew!! There were sixteen kids there!! Had to snap a traditional photo with Em and Michele. We're going on 12 years of being sisters through our husbands. Love you gals!!

Darin was the grill-master,
cookin' up the steaks, burgers and dogs. The food at that plantation is always
sooooo good!! And
sooooo plentiful!!! Michele's Symphony fudge was super--even if she did have to make a second batch. The first batch was eaten in the night by what we think was a skunk. Yes, we left it outside to satay cool. The fridge, was of course--STUFFED!!! The kids had rides all weekend long on Grandpa's retirement gift--a new 4-wheeler. Darin took Ellie for a ride and they came right across a skunk int he middle of the road. They had to wait til it walked away.
Devarie made the mistake of dissing
Zumba--so Mel had to show a bunch of us what it was all about. She cranked the
Latin music and had a line of followers on the front lawn, trying
Zumba for the first time. GO MEL!!! (FYI--I have the
CD's and am trying to learn how to do it--and it's HARD!! Much coordination required.))

So many kids just
sittin' in the sandbox. At one point they spent about 25 minutes digging all sorts of
tunnels and rivers, only to find out water is NOT allowed in the sand box!! Poor kids. Those darn adults ruin all the fun!!

As always--trampoline fun is had by all--all day long!! No net, no pads...just a ton of kids, free as little birds.

We sure did miss the other three cousins--Maddie, Savannah and their new baby sister. Come soon for some chaos with the cousins!!
Dalynn got everyone to play a game of kick-ball. Pretty fun to watch all ages join in. Logan, of course, gave his best kick with that darn foot that is supposed to be healing.

Thanks for the great party everyone. Thanks for the excuse to be together, Grandpa Sam!! We are so happy for you to be done with "the rat race" and have lots of time to do the things you enjoy most. We hope to be recipients of the
plethora of produce you are about to make grow!!! Love you all!!!

fun times!
ZUMBA IS FUN! I HAVE BEEN GOING FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW. I love it! I wouldn't even mind being an instructor one day. I am really getting the hang of it. Next time you are here, come and go with Christy and I.
