Last day of First Grade!!

The last day of first grade has arrived. I am so sad to see this year end for my kids!! It has been such a good year for them in so many ways. We are excited for all our upcoming summer fun, but sad to be done with the kids fabulous first grade teachers.

Ellis has absolutely LOVED Mrs. Burge. We are so appreciative of Mrs. Burge for the wonderful first grade year she provided for Ellie. She has been such a fun, calm teacher. She has helped build Ellie's self-esteem and confidence. She has helped Ellie love to read chapter books and write up a storm. Ellie believes she is a smart, capable girl. She is proud to have never "flipped a card" this year for misbehavior. Although she did have to one time and Mrs. Burge let her flip it back. Ellie has had some good friends in her class this year. She loves Nicole, Emma, Megan, Sophie, Hannah, and so many more little friends. Mrs. Burge has been so great to help all these dramatic little girls solve their problems and work things out. We love it that Mrs. Burge pulled Ellie's first tooth out!! It has just been a perfect year for Ellie, and we are so grateful!! Thank you Mrs. Burge. WE LOVE YOU!!!

I can't say enough about Mrs. Heaton. I have felt so blessed all year that she has been Logan's teacher. She has gone above and beyond and tried so hard to make things in the classroom work for Logan. She has been a life savor in her being consistent and calm, and most of all, in loving Logan. Logan has been so happy at school, and has felt safe and confident in his classroom. He loves Mrs. Heaton and loves what goes on in her class. He has loved his classmates, and has told us often which kids are on on which table team. And how many points each team has. It has been a perfect year for him. We are sad to have it come to an end. Thank you Mrs. Heaton. WE LOVE YOU!!!
