Monday night for Family Home Evening, we carved our jack-o-lanterns. From pumpkins we actually GREW in our garden!!! Waaaaahooo!! That's a first for us. Luckily we had exactly TWO big pumpkins actually grow. (And a few baby ones.) Logan went for the traditional triangle eyes and nose, with a toothy grin. And Ellie went for a big scarier look with slanted eyes and jagged teeth. I think they did a great job!! I roasted the seeds the next day--yum.
After carving the pumpkins, and taking baths, we had our family night treat. We made our own carmel apples. Pretty tricky to eat--especially with Logan lost teeth. We ended up cutting the apples into slices.
I sure do love nights like this with just our little family making fun memories. The blinds closed, all cozy in the warm house, with the ones who matter the most to me. Aaahhhh.
