Zippity Zoo Zah...

Day two of UEA break with the cousins in tow. Still havin' fun. Today we headed to Hogle Zoo. It was a great time, the weather was perfect and we were ahead of the main crowd. The kids ran around, impressed by the animals and feeling carefree.

It was fun to catch a glimpse of the new baby elephant. The kids had a white cockatoo repeating their screams back to them--it was pretty funny. And the giant gorilla made us all jump when he hit the glass where we were all observing him. He was being as lazy as could be, and all of a sudden hit the glass with his huge hand, as if to say, "quit looking at me".

The train ride is always a big hit as the last thing before heading home. And the huge elephant statue is pretty fun because he "sneezes" all over the kids. Such little goof balls!!

We stopped for a picnic lunch, and also spent a bit of time in the playground area. Super fun. A HUGE thanks to Heather and Nora for coming with us, and sharing their zoo pass to get us ALL in for FREE!!! (They have the sweet high-end pass that allows the most guests.)

Super time at the zoo. Now we are home watching movies, reading books, and making carmel popcorn balls. Ah the perfectness of no schedule for a few days!!
