We happened to arrive in Washington just in time for the storm of the decade, according to the locals. So, although it was not the perfect northwest weather we had planned on, we still braved the elements and had a great time!! The snow melted on the third day. I had two great long walks in the rain with Shari, and we all loved the warm, cozy fireplace. Darin took the kids to an indoor pool a couple of times. The pictures are taken at a park called Battle Point Park. It is a REALLY cool playground paid for and built 100% by the residents of the island. We played there twice, the first time in the snow!!!
There are really fun murals and statues all around the park, depicting local people and animals.
Here Darin was trying to get Princess Ellie to kiss the frog!!!
We also shopped at the awesome local game and toy stores and bought some fun things. We borrowed a Nintendo DS for the trip and Logan spent a lot of time on that, while the weather was to wet to go out. (Thanks Heather.)
