Thanksgiving 2010. Bainbridge Island. (Post 5 of 6)

Twice we went to see Sampson, the huge seal, and his buddies. They live near a salmon hatchery, so there is always a good chance of seeing them. This guy is HUGE!! The pictures do not show just how big he is. It was so fun to watch him play and bark. When we started to leave, he barked as if asking us to stay. We love sea mammals, so this was a highlight of the trip for us.

We took a little hike on the Fairy-Dell trail one day with Shari and Larry. It is so amazing in the forests. Just lush green, and magical. The kids are Darin tried to convince us that they had caught a fairy. Since there is so much moss in the forest, they named her, "Mossalina".

Of course, the beaches are always a highlight. Ellie has been collecting glass for a year now, ever since she saw Andrew's sea glass collection last year. So we came home with lots of sea glass and shells, and a few sand dollars. Andrew have the kids each some of his special sea glass, bottles, and crystals that he has found on the beach. Truly treasures to the kids.

I bought myself and the kids new rain boots for this trip. They were perfect for the weather we had. And...they are fun to wear!!
