Surgery after all.

Yesterday we met with the hand surgeon again and it was decided that Logan would have surgery after all. There was a small mound in the middle of his palm that just didn't look right. Maybe swelling inside or something. So today Darin took our big boy to the hospital for surgery. He couldn't eat or drink anything this morning and got to wear his PJ's to the hospital. They put him totally under, so he doesn't remember any of it. They doctors removed a small piece of wood or a branch or something. Now the trick will be to keep the hand dry for a week. Hmmm...not sure how that will be possible.

Logan got to take his two "Little Angels" into surgery with him. When he woke up, they both hand wrapped up hands, just like Logan. The doctors did that while Logan was sleeping. I think that was really great of them to do!! So fun for Logan.

Logan was a little nauseous on the ride home. But he took it easy for a couple of hours. By the time he had been home for a few hours, he was running around outside playing with his friends, and eating dinner at the Chinese Buffet. Darin decided that we should all go out to dinner to celebrate the kids last day being seven years old. Huh? That man will think of any reason to celebrate and have a party!!
