The Big Day--Baptism Day!!

Logan and Ellie were baptised Saturday, April 16, 2011. I wish I had taken more pictures. But I am glad for the few we were able to snap between the kids excited and being with their cousins, my hustling around to do final little details, and all of us greeting all the friends and family who were arriving.

Our most special guest of honor at the baptism was the kids birthmom, Keri. She flew in from California for the baptism, and stayed with us for two nights. It was so, so good to spend time with her, have her see what Logan and Ellie's regular life is like, and have her be a part of this special occasion. We had so many friends and family at the baptism. The entire Jones family, excpect for Dallon's family who live too far away. Sweet little cousin Maddie did call to congratulate the kids that morning. And we had almost all of the Daugs family except for Shari's family, who also live too far away. Amy Kanz Grgich, Ellie's kindergarten teacher, and our good friend, came. The Gleed and the Van Moorlehem families, Katrina Young, Gayle Parker, and Cole and Janae Duersch were also there. Janae is the primary president and gave a perfect talk on baptism. Brother Bergantz was the bishopric member conducting and we were so grateful for his testimony.

The kids were excited and reverant for their actual baptisms, and Darin gave them both beautiful blessings as he confirmed them members of the church. Many of the kids cousins participated in a musical number singing, "I know that my Savior Loves me". I just love that song and it is so touching to hear those little voices singing, "I know he lives. I will follow faithfully. My heart I give to thee. I know that my Savior loves me." At the end of the program, Logan and Ellie each bore a short, sweet testimony.

It's really hard to believe that the kids are eight years old, and that they now have taken this important step in Our Heavenly Father's plan. We are so blessed to be their parents, and are very proud of Logan and Ellie for taking this big step.
