Day 2

The second day on Bainbridge was beautiful!! I woke up early and went for a walk by myself for an hour. So perfect!! Flowers everywhere, the waves rolling gently, etc. After a sit down brunch together at Shari's, we headed to Poulsbo. We all just love this quaint little town on the water, because of it's Norwegian roots. We stopped at the bakeries, and the UFDA shop, and we ate lefsa. We all have memories of Mom making lefsa over the years. Lots of little shops and sights to see.

On our way, we saw this eagle out on the water. We were also treated to some sweet bagpipe music by a street musician......who happens to be my nephew, Andrew. It was so fun to see him all decked out and entertaining the shoppers. He earns a little extra cash playing his pipes. He was playing a few LDS tunes...which not too many people notice. That night was to be our "Mama Mia Partay"!!!! We all got on our get-ups complete with bell-bottoms, sparkle, and go-go boots. I know this may sound in sane....but it was hilarious and so fun!! We watched the movie to get us in the groove, although listening to ABBA goes WAY back for our family....long before there was a movie or musical. After the movie and a serious photo shoot, it was off to Safeway, the grocery store, to buy batteries for our high tech boom box that stayed with us the rest of the night. It was juts so fun and funny. Everyone was asking us what the occasion was, they wanted the whole story, and a few folks joined in. All kinds of whooping and hollering and laughing til it hurt!! Rachel was not feeling good, but by the time we left the house she was dressed and feelin' the groove as well. I didn't have my camera with me...but will have more pics later of all of us out on the town. So we headed down to the water front "digging the dancing queen" all the while. Once our table was ready in the restaurant, we kept the boom box playing ABBA throughout dinner. SO. MANY.PEOPLE. wanted to know what we were up to. They all loved it and kept asking questions. Several people took out picture. It was nuts--I was shocked that so many people were that interested. After dinner we headed out to the patio where people were eating, to sing for some old guys birthday, at the request of his friends. The ladies in their group got up and danced and sang with us, and it was all just SO FUNNY!!! As we made our final exit, we were cheered on stopped again for more people to ask questions. I seriously could only do this with my sisters. What a riot!!! Love these party animals!! Mama Mia, here I go again!!!
