Baby Br Br.

Twelve years ago Darin and I moved to Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Around the same time, Megan and Dirk Hart moved there as well. As fate would have it, we were in the same ward, and after a short time of living there, they became amazing friends to us. To this day, they remain the best friends we've ever had. The picture below is of the four of us, and their baby daughter at the time, Kiley. At the time Darin and I could not have children, and Kiley became the closest thing for us, to having our own kids. We adored her. And when her little sister came along, we adored her as well. Here I am with new baby Brooke in the hospital . Kiley called her "Br Br", so we did too.
We spent so much time with these little girls for a couple of years. Here I am with Brooke at Seaworld, and in her apple costume at Halloween. The other pic is of Kiley and Brooke sitting on my Dad's lap on Thanksgiving Day.
Brooke LOVED Darin!! I mean she was IN LOVE with him!!! Here they are swinging, sometime when Brooke was one, and at her first birthday party.
And here we are with the these sweet girls that we loved so much, showing them our new baby Logan and baby Ellie.
For those of you from the Rancho Cucamonga days who read this blog, you know why I am doing a post about Brooke. Brooke is now ten years old. She has just been diagnosed as having a rare form of ewings cancer. I have only know this horrible news for a couple of hours. I cannot imagine what Megan, Dirk and their family are going through. I so wish I was there in Texas with them, and could do something, ANYTHING, to help. What a shocking reminder of how precious life is and how immensely grateful we need to be for the health of our children and families. We send all our love and prayers out to Brooke, "Baby Br Br" and her family. People you do not even remember or know are praying for you, you beautiful girl!!!

Such great pictures! I am so heart broken for them right now. And such a reminder that life is so short and precious so take advantage of every minute.

Beautiful pictures. I remember how much BrBr loved Darin. It was adorable. My heart is breaking that she is going through this trial. I hope the Harts know how much they are loved.

Oh Miriam, I am so very sorry for you and for this sweet family that means so much to you. I will be praying for them too. If you think of a way to get to be with them, I'm happy to watch your kids anytime.
