March 2 was Dr. Seuss' birthday. We celebrated all week long at school. Here are Logan and Ellie at our Family Literacy evening event celebrating Dr. Seuss. Logan wore his hair blue to be Thing 1 and Ellie had a Who-do.
One day the kindergarten had "Cat in the Hat" day. At the last minute I texted the other teachers and told them to wear all black and I'd take care of the rest. And Ta-da...we are Cat in the Hats!! We even had our picture in the local newspaper!
The book I chose to do for my room/hallway decor' was "One fish Two fish". I free-handed these posters myself. Pretty cute, I know. My students wrote the text. I wish I could post pictures of my students on my blog, but I think I'd better not, since I don't have permission.
Since this pic shows no faces...I think it's OK to post. Look how FUN this is!! Our whole class tie-dyed T-shirts to wear on Dr. Seuss' birthday. The turned out better than any other time I've made them with family. Here are a few of my students reading Dr. Seuss books. I love this stuff!!
Hope some others out there in blog-space had a great Seuss week as well. Now we'd better get out and see "The Lorax".

How fun! Love your Cat in the Hat get-ups and those tie-dye shirts do look awesome! Way to go on your free-hand fishies as well. You're so multi-talented ;)
