This week we had Ada and Avery stay with us. I already wrote all about our fun times and somehow none of the text got posted on my blog. So now we get the abbrieviated version. A few things I didn't document with the camera were.....Ada went to Ellie's cheer class with her. We all went out to dinner at Applebee's, and to Walmart. Big City Tooele stuff. Luckliy Darin was with us! Watched a few movies and played the Wii. Played outside a bunch. (One thing we did not get to do is....buy ice-cream from the ice-cream truck!! We've been waiting for it to come by, so Ada and Avery can see what it's like to have that perk of living in a neighborhood. But he just hasn't come by when we've been home this week. Maybe tomorrow before we leave.)
Day 1: Kids went for a "jog" thanks to Ada's suggestion. They lingered forever around the little stream, exploring and doing kid stuff. When they didn't come back for quite awhile, I figured this is where I'd find them. So fun!!

They each took a turn helping me make my first ever batch of strawberry jam.

I had Activity Days and Ada got to join in. Good thing!! Most girls could not come, due to busy summer schedules.
Cutler had us laughing because he was so cute in his mandatory hair net. Kids all chose their favorite treat to take home.

The girls were all matchy today in their skirts and striped tops. This picture cracks me up. Ada is six months OLDER than Ellie.
International Peace Gardens Park with Naomi's fam, and our little friend, Natalie. The kids climbed trees. Climbed statues. And climbed flag poles.

Day 3: Spent a few hours at the lake and the pool. Jumped off the bridge. Had a picnic. Went swimming.
I dragged them all to a bunch of stores with me, and then they got their reward....The Canyons water play at Liberty Park. Best place ever!!
I enjoyed the view while the kids ran around.
Darin met us all at Chuck-a-Rama for our grand finale dinner.
Tomorrow we head to Cache Valley with the kids. It has been really great having Avery and Ada here this week. The two boys and the two girls are so, so much like each other. Darin and I have looked at each other and laughed a dozen times this week, because of how similar our kids are. It's been great for us to really get to know Ada and Avery. When we see them it is always for such a short amount of time. I was worried that the kids would have little squabbles and hurt feelings and crying....because they always do when we are all together. But we had not a one! They got along beautifully and they are wishing they had more days together. Thanks for coming to play all week kids! We sure do love you guys!!
