Today (after I slept in and the kids played Wii all morning), we headed to City Creek and Temple Square for the day. The kids did NOT want to go....but I gave them no choice. And they had a GREAT day!! We were gone over six hours.

We started off with lunch at the Lion House Pantry. The kids were actually calm at this point and we had a nice, slow lunch in this perfect little window booth in it's own little alcove.

We wandered and meandered around for a long time. The kids entertained themselves running around all the fountains and gardens. And we liked seeing all the wedding brides.
We spent some time in the Joseph Smith building....playing in the kids area of the genealogy floor, going to the tenth floor, and relaxing in the main hall area.
We were able to met up with these cute little cousins for just a little bit. Not nearly long enough, but great to see the whole fam for a minute.
And after all these years of going to temple square, we finally went to the 26th floor of the Church Office Building. Darin met up with us and took the elevator ride up with us.
Finally it was back to City Creek. Cheesecake Factory here we come! Dinner for Darin and delectable desserts for the rest of us to share. My kids both chose chocolate!!! That is a beautiful thing!
Now we're home. The kids are watching a movie. Darin is packing up to leave early in the morning with Dave and Dean to hunt Bambi. And I am blogging and doing computer stuff to avoid all the productive things I should be doing. Great day 2 of fall break!

I love SLC.
I ADORE that picture of your kids with the temple in the background and Ellie's head on Log's shoulder. So cute. Love those kiddos.
