It's that time of year again. A whirlwind of rehearsals and last minute costume fittings, chaos and craziness with The Dance Centre trying to pull the show together. And once again.....a huge success! They always pull it off beautifully! This year Ellie's class, ballet 3, played the part of the party girls. (Again.) It's a super fun role and they get to be in a big part of the show. So on opening night, Ellie was a party girl with her class.

Ellie and Paige both played the role of Clara's little sister. Paige had the part Thursday night and Ellie had the part Friday night. They shared the same red dress. It's been fun for them to learn this role together.

I just do not have the camera or the skill to take pictures during the show, so these do not do the scenes justice. But here are little bits of Ellie's part in the show. She is arguing and wrestling with her sister at the beginning of the party scene, while the maid looks on and Dad starts to reprimand the girls.
Looking on while her little sister dances, ready to prove she can dance better. Her character is a little stinker. She is the one who breaks Clara's new nutcracker, but I didn't get a picture of that.
Final dance position of her role in the party scene. After this the girls start to yawn and get tired, and the party comes to an end. Ellie and the other little sister are ushered off to bed, and Clara falls asleep on the couch.
Ellie did a really great job. She was a little disappointed tonight after the show about a mistake she made, along with being exhausted from the excitement and late nights and magic of it all. She couldn't get to sleep. Thank goodness tomorrow is Saturday and she can sleep in!!
(For a little while. Then it's off to a three hour jazz dance practice for her jazz Christmas recital!)
