Christmas Day 2012.

6:30 A.M. They both woke up multiple times during the wee morning hours. Ellie woke at 3:44 and sneaked downstairs to see what Santa left. That little stinker! The last time Logan woke up was 5:50. He watched the clock after that. We told them they could not get up before 6:30. He said at 6:29 he waited with his hand on his bedroom doorknob!! They were both in our room before it turned 6:31.

Much to their dismay, we have yet to let the kids watch all the Harry Potter movies. They were beyond excited when they opened the entire 8 DVD set of Harry Potter movies!

Ellie finds out that her begging has paid off and she WILL be getting pierced ears!

Daddy delivered this year. The kids have asked Santa for motor scooters for three years now. This mom has always said no. But this year I gave in and Darin happily found a sweet bargain on these refurbished babies. Ellie wanted a pink ride-on scooter.....and we know that is EXACTLY what her daddy got for her! We did tell the kids that the scooters were from us and not Santa. Santa only leaves smaller presents the past two years.

Ellie's haul.......art sketching supplies, a real cosmetology manikin with real hair she can do, and her first curling iron. Easy Bake refills from Logan, clothes and too many other fun little things to list.

Daddy was sure to get Logan the top of the line scooter, in a shiny red!

Logan wanted a drum set. After much debate with myself, we got him this synthesizer set. They are really cool. He also got the Beyblade Destroyer Dome, and lots of fun little things.

Trying out their new wheels.

The family got a globe with a big magnifying glass. First place we looked for was Kosovo. We needed the magnifier to see it.We ended up with a stack of new movies and a super fun set of popcorn-making stuff from Dallon and Heidi. THANKS guys!

Darin and the kids gave me some great gifts. iPhone docking station, my second pair of Sanita shoes (LOVE these things!) and lots of other fun things to help me feel and look my best...a foot bath, hair products, perfumes, etc.

Top item on Darin's list was a serious blender. He got it. He also got a serious cut when he opened it for the first time...those Ninja blades mean business! He also got binoculars, clothes, and other fun little things.

It has been a perfect, long, leisurely, Christmas Day. I'd like to do it all over again! We took lots of breaks while opening presents. The rest of the day was spent.....riding the new scooters, Skyping with Sam and Marilyn, watching Harry Potter movies, reading new books, Ellie doing hair on her manikin and using a curling iron for the first time, singing Happy Birthday to Jesus and having our traditional birthday cake (from Cold Stone this year), eating Harry Potter Every Flavor Beans, having Christmas dinner with turkey and ham, Darin trying out the new blender and docking station, everyone using Logan's new drums, and me taking a two hour nap!

Ellie gave us a fashion show of all her new clothes. She was super excited to get an outfit very similar to the one her American Doll wears. She wanted the official AG outfit, but it costs near $100 for a girls pair of cotton leggings and a top. No way! I saw this set at Target and grabbed it. It is pretty close to the real thing. And cost me a grand total of about $15.

It was a Harry Potter Christmas for Logan. He got the HP DVD game (not shown), the set of 8 movies, HP snowflake ornament, HP Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans (they are so real and taste NASTY), and HP UNO.

It also ended up being a Christmas of books for the kids, which I, of course, LOVE! Ellie got two sets of The Rainbow Fairies books, a really cool Fairy Rings book, the newest American Girl book, and the family got the National Geographic Weird But True book. Logan got the entire Diary of a Wimpy Kid set, a couple of Big Nate books, a couple of 39 Clues books, an awesome book about Knights, and atlas and some Phineas and Ferb books. They also each got a couple of journal/writing books.
It really has been the perfect Christmas Day. I'm tempted to leave it all out all day tomorrow, have the kids stay in PJ's all day again, keep the blinds closed and pray nobody rings the doorbell! We have had a wonderful Christmas season and I hate to see it end. Hopefully we can carry it out another week or so. We still have neighbor and friends to give gifts and treats to, and some fun family outings, Stansbury lights to drive around and see, and more movies to watch about the true meaning of Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!!
