Christmas Eve 2012.

This year we didn't stick with our regular Christmas Eve traditions. The kids were SO excited they didn't want to go anywhere, for fear it would make the time take longer until CHRISTMAS! Logan took several naps throughout the day, trying to make time pass fast.Funny kids....they really just ended up torturing themselves with all the focus on waiting! Darin and I both had to run last minute errands. I don't think I have ever been to Walmart before, on Christmas Eve. A merry adventure for sure.
We had breakfast for dinner....homemade sausage/bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits and yummy fruit. I know, weird for Christmas Eve dinner. But we liked it.
We watched "Joy to the World" together and Darin read Luke 2.

The kids opened their new PJ's to wear to bed.

And they opened their 2012 ornaments. Ellie's ornament is glass toe shoes. She also got a ballerina notebook. She REALLY wanted toe shoes for Christmas. But we told her that decision is up to the podiatrist and her dance instructors. She is still a little young to be 'en pointe'.

Logan's ornament was a Harry Potter snowflake. He also got a Harry Potter DVD game.

The kids left Little Cutie tangerines for the reindeer and these treats for Santa. (Treats from two different neighbors...thanks guys!)

Logan's note to Santa.

Ellie's note to Santa.

Santa made it to our house around 1:00 A.M.

The magic pretty much twinkled in the air!

Merry Christmas!
