Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week at school. I happen to teach a class of kids whose parents have some serious class! My room mom and the other moms go all out in all they do. One day they had the kids thank our computer and P.E. teachers with cards and notes. One day they had all the kids wear the color yellow to school, my favorite color. One day all the kids brought me gifts and we sat in a big circle while they each gave me super fun stuff. The room mom brought me chocolate covered strawberries from Rocky Mt. Chocolate factory and cake pops for all the kids. One day we had licorice for a snack, one of my favorite treats. And on Friday we had a picnic with Subway for everyone, because I listed Subway as one of my favorite fast food places. They decorated my door and made me the best scrapbook ever!

I had already put a bunch of stuff away when I thought to take pictures, so only a small portion is shown. These parents are seriously amazing!! Many gifts were for the classroom like sanitizer, wipes, stickers, etc. Tons of treats and candy and the sweetest cards and notes from my students.

Lots of my favorite things...chocolate covered fruits, gum, green olives, Red lobster, Subway, and TONS of Crystal Light because that's what I always drink. I wish i had taken a picture of all the gifts. So many had yellow bows and tissue because I love yellow.

This scrapbook was adorable. each student answered a question about me in their own handwriting. The PTA also had stuff every day for the teachers...catered lunch, a muffin and smoothie bar for breakfast, cute framed dry erase boards, memory books from the students, etc.

Yes, I work at a VERY stellar school with the best PTA on the planet and the most fabulous room mother EVER and the most amazing group of parents a teacher could dream up. I am not exaggerating. I am extremely blessed and I love my job, my community, and Stansbury Park Elementary School!!!!
