Spring for Summer!

It really is officially spring for a couple more weeks, even though we are on summer break. We have has some serious spring weather this year and it has been fabulous!! The mountains are still nice and green, everything is green! No horrid hot weather yet, and we've had a couple great rainstorms. I like spring during summer!! Usually we get ripped off in the spring department, but not this year!
One rainstorm totally toppled my peonies just as they were all blooming. So I tied them all up in nice bouquet-looking bunches. And then another rainstorm came hard and did this to them. Oh well. they are still pretty to look at...just a bit floppy.

Random pic......but don't you just love these? Homemade popsicles! These are the very plastic popsicle molds my mom used when we were kids. So many happy summer memories in those pieces of plastic. They are still in pretty darn good shape for being decades old. When we were kids it was always Kool-aid pops. Real Kool-aid, back before they had sugar-free versions. One cup of sugar per mix. Mmmm! this time the kids and I made pudding pops.

Clouds after one of the rainstorms.

Fresh green neighborhood after the rain.

Yep, I do like spring for summer!1
