We couldn't make the dates and cottage rentals work for us at Bella Beach, the community we stayed in last year. So we held our breath and booked a place just ten minutes north, in Lincoln City, in their sister cottage community, Olivia Beach. It did NOT disappoint! We loved, loved, loved it! I want to live there!

Our "cottage" was on Anemone Ave. and was called "Seaz the Day". (The owners have two Z's in their last name.) There is this little community of adorable houses, completely blocked off from the rest of the city by a forest. It's in it's own little world, on a bluff overlooking the ocean.

The side of the house. The yellow building out back is the garage with an extra bedroom above that we didn't use.

The front entrance and center of the great room main area. I LOVE this spot. How can I recreate this in my house? So bright and light and open and the windows and aaahhhhhh!!! I opened every blind first thing every morning before anyone else was awake.
Front entrance, side entrance, living room, kitchen, and dining room are pretty much all the same room. Plus guest bathroom and storage closet down the hall.
The yellow room. Ellie claimed it for the first four nights and then we cleaned it up for Shari and Larry to occupy.

The family room / game room. Exit to the back patio. There was also a bathroom and laundry room on this basement level. I did laundry every single day. Might not sound too fun for being on vacation. But I actually like it. All those tide pool slips and slides on seaweed can get a little smelly. And it sure is nice to throw all the wet towels and suits and hoodies in the dryer instead of hanging them all out to dry. And moms know....it's just great to go home with clean clothes all folded, instead of loads of dirty laundry.

Olivia Beach neighborhood. I know......we lived in a postcard for over a week. We are very spoiled. We feel very blessed. It makes it really hard to go back to reality.
Perfect summer vacation!!
