Thursday afternoon I packed my bags (and the kitchen sink) and headed to Park City to party with the Jones family gals for a long weekend! Michele beat me to the vacation condo by ten minutes! I was SO happy she was able to go up early with me. We took it easy, did some party prep, and a little shopping. Around 9:00 that night Dalynn, Devarie and Darla showed up.
Michele and I were up late, our norm. The other girls woke up early for a run and then a work-out DVD and then an 18 mile mountain bike trail! I enjoyed the morning air on the deck and watched this amazing sunrise. That was the extent of my enjoying the outdoors. There was too much shopping and party planning to do!
Noon--Heidi and the weekend guest of honor, MELISSA, showed up!!
Four Jones women....married to four of the Jones brothers. (Where's Em?)

Dana and Em arrived at 4:30....everyone present!! Let the party begin!! Here's the whole gang...minus me behind the camera. And minus the mother of the fam, Marilyn....on a mission in Kosovo. We were able to skype with her a little bit.
Then there's me and the birthday girl, and Mel, pretty much the cutest little pregnant mama you've ever seen!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEVARIE DAWN!!!! We had a great birthday celebration with Devarie. Dalynn showed a great movie she made of Devarie, we had some fun presents, and yummy carrot cake cupcakes from a Park City baker, compliments of Marilyn. Marilyn and Sam also had the yellow flower arrangement delivered to our condo. So fun!! And pretty amazing to get flowers delivered from the parents, who are in Kosovo! Notice the pirate cake topper on the cupcakes....scroll down and see why!!

We headed to main Street for the evening. We strolled and window shopped and pretty much just had a great time. We ate dinner on the deck at The Red Banjo. Perfect....it looks like a postcard of Park City!

Snapped this pic of Darla and Mel with the big bear. I am almost positive that thing has been there since I started doing sisters weekends in park City with my own sisters when I was a teenager! I'm going to look for old pics.
Later on it was time to "Pirate Up", and Devarie was not lacking in animation! Aargh!

Seems we all needed a weapon to really get into the plundering, treasure-hunting spirit!
