These days of the holiday break are lingering on in a fabulous way....yet at the same time they are flying by at light speed! The kids have played with friends just a little not a lot. They have been busy playing with new Christmas toys, gadgets and projects. We've returned a few things, and went out to lunch one day. Mostly, we are just taking it as it comes...no schedule, no responsibilities.
This platter has found a permanent home on our counter top this holiday season. Hot chocolate available at any moment!

We graduated from our 100 piece holiday puzzles to our 300 piece holiday puzzles! Guess we'll start one of the 500's tomorrow.

We finally made it to "Frozen" after talking about going for a couple of weeks! We loved it as much as everyone said we would! It's a keeper! The kids won't stop quoting from it.

These might be my own toes....in what might be Listerine and Vinegar. Thanks Keri for the idea! It's the latest remedy circulating online, for removing dry, dead skin off feet. It definitely left my feet feeling all tingly...and looking VERY Smurf-like! Made it pretty easy to pumice away all the dead skin...so I think it kind of works. Only on Christmas break do I let myself have time for such things!!
The presents and paper are all cleaned up...but we do not put away Christmas early around here. The advent calendar deserves to be enjoyed now that it is all filled up, the stockings are back on their hooks, and "The boot" is now filled to the brim with holiday greetings from family and friends!

And I might have been spending just a tad bit of tie on school ideas for January. Snow, winter, the 5 senses.....lots of fun ideas! Today we are experimenting with homemade snow globes and snowflakes. Hoping to have them perfected before I expect kindergarteners to make them! I can only work on the FUN stuff for school. No thought of the testing week we are coming back to next week, or the new standards I need to teach this month. Minor details....we have winter wonderland magic to make!
Hope you all are enjoying the holiday break as much as we are!! We are doin' a whole lot of nothin' and it is fabulous!!
