Cache Valley after Christmas 2013.

The day after Christmas Darin headed south with his sisters to ride for a few days. So the kids and I headed north to stay with Aunt Rachie and let the kids play with their Daugs cousins for s couple of days. It was cold up in Cache Valley for sure. VERY cold! But we loved it and had a great time staying cozy in the farm house. I wish I had taken a picture of Ellie discovering the best spot in the house...sitting on the floor, right in front of the wall vent, hot air blowing, with a blanket around you to make a little cave. I spent hours and hours (and hours) in that very spot when I was a kid.
The beautiful view out the back door.

The kids sure didn't seem to notice the frigid temps. They played out in the orchard for several hours making some kind of fort. They were mixing snow and well water in a metal tub to use as the "glue" for their house! I made sure every shovel and bucket was put away when they were done...pretty sure Bonka Don wouldn't love them being frozen under ground for the next three months!

The kids played Wyatt's new Harry Potter Scene It game several times! Between these four kids, they know every single answer!! Some serious fans.

Saturday night everyone came over to make homemade potato donuts. Ammon and family, Nate and family, and Dad and Jill. Such a fun treat and tradition!

Thanks Rach, for having us for a couple of days. Love being "home"!!
