So cute how Logan spelled "Happy". Happe. And he had to write "day" REALLY small, so it would fit with "birth".
Ellie was so sweet writing her note. Thought it up all on her own.
I asked the kids each some questions today, mini interview style. They were pretty thoughtful about their answers. It was enlightening to me and I've decided I need to interview them more often. FYI--the interviews each took place separately, under the kitchen table in the kids "home" they had built there today. Here's the Q&A. Answers are written in the kids own words.
Q: Who is Keri?
Ellie A: Our birth mom.
Logan A: Our birth mom.
Q: What does that mean?
Ellie A: That she's our aunt? No. That we were born in her tummy.
Logan A: That means she likes us because we got borned in her tummy.
Q: Does Keri love you?
Ellie A: Yes.
Logan A: YES!!!
Q: How much does she love you?
Ellie A: VERY much.
Logan A: VERY, VERY much.
Q: How do you know she loves you?
Ellie A: Because, she's our birth mom.
Logan A: Because, she's our birth mom. (With a "duh" attitude!!)
Q: What fun things do you remember when you saw Keri?
Ellie A: We swimmed with her. We got to see Jason and Nicole. We made Nicole a cake for doing a good job at baseball. But we ate all the cake cause they didn't come that day. We had fun going riding in a boat. We had fun in the hot tub.
Logan A: Swim in her swimming pool. Fly paper airplanes. We played Candyland with Nicole and Jason. We went really, really fast on a boat. Keri's sock (It was a shoe.) fell into the water.
Q: What do you like about Keri?
Ellie A: I like her because she's fun. She looks pretty. She gave me a princess computer when I was turning four. It was at the place where all the animals move. (Rainforest Cafe.)
Logan A: She's our nice birth mom. I think she is nice and beautiful and kindly.
Q: What do you wish for Keri for her birthday?
Ellie A: A rainbow colored glass bird because they are pretty. I would wish that I could be with her. (So sweet!! I teared up.)
Logan A: A back scratcher. (He gave Dad one for Christmas.) A pot of flowers. (Hope a bouquet will do.) Grown up make-up. (As opposed to the little girl make-up Ellie got for Christmas.)
