Sacrament meeting yesterday was pretty normal. But pretty normal for us doesn't seem "normal"!! A couple of the highlights are:
*Logan comes back from the bathroom and announces in his regular voice (which is not quiet), "Mom, I peed standing up!!!" I am almost crying I am laughing and so embarrassed!! EVERY WEEK there is bathroom commentary from that boy!! One of my friends actually asked me if he is always that regular!! It's usually poop--and it's EVERY week!!
*Ellie is sitting ON THE TOP of the bench, giving Darin a back scratch. My friend behind us is laughing. I say to her, "I have THREE children!! Not two!!!" Meaning Darin is one of them, of course. Well, Logan looks right at me as serious and literal as always, "What mom?? Do we have THREE kids??" He was so shocked, as if he couldn't believe he had another sibling he never knew about!!
*Then there are the every week, multiple times a meeting comments....."What song are we on? How many songs did we sing?" Logan tracks the meeting by how many of the posted hymns we are done with. If he asks and there are still two songs left--the few rows in front and behind us will hear about it!! And if the choir sings a number--holy hannah, things are off kilter!! That was NOT posted on the wall, and SHOULD count as one of the songs!!
*And during every hymn, "What number are we on?" Which means, which verse. And "Where are we?" Meaning, show him what word we are on. And then..."don't show me, I can do it, I can do it!!" Meaning, I'm glad you showed me, but lets pretend you didn't!!
*And the closing prayer ritual. Logan gets as close to the end of the bench as possible. We no longer let him get past Darin, the end-of-the-bench troll. If he opens his eyes or starts to get up before the prayer is over--he has to sit there for a minute afterwards--which just about kills him. So he waits pretty good now. But when we hear "Amen", he is a bolt of lightning and waiting for us at the car, before we've even left the pew!!
Gotta love the most important hour of the week!!! Especially when it is the LAST of our three-hour block!!!

I have forgotten that sacrament was at the end.
Ah, at least it makes for some good laughs! The thing that makes me laugh the hardest is when I'm laughing at Ezra + he says, "don't laugh, it's not funny"-- I totally lose it!
I love that you call Darin your bench troll! LOL!
