Logan was the first to start preschool. Since he was going to the district Early Learning Preschool, he started right when he turned three years old. He rode the big yellow school bus and LOVED every minute of it. His teacher was Miss Melody for the next two and a half years. He went twice a week.

I taught Ellie "Joy School" the year she was three. We had six kids and rotated whose home preschool was held at. She had Joy School the same two days and times that Logan went to his preschool. The year the kids were four, Ellie attended Miss Melissa's Small Wonderz Preschool, just down the street from us. She went three mornings a week. Logan continued to ride the bus to preschool two days a week, and joined Ellie's class every Friday morning.
Last year we made the big leap into "real" school. The kids were in separate kindergarten classes, and attended school five mornings a week. We carpooled with two other families. Somehow during that kindergarten year, my "babies" went from still having a little bit of that "toddler/preschool" look, to being full-blown, regular KIDS!!!
And here we are currently. The kids are just finishing up their first week of first grade. We have started riding bikes to school daily. I ride with them. At LEAST they are STILL too young to ride to school alone. I will savor that this year!!! I'm sure before I even blink it will be another year, and they will be going it alone.

Logan looks so little + chubby in that top pic! So cute! I still can't believe he rode the bus back then! And I don't remember Ellie being that little when we did Joy School! Crazy how time flies.
