So, like every other year--the kids scored in the candy department. We did some trick-or-treating earlier in the day at local stores. The forecast for tonight was rain, and the thunderclouds were looming. So I thought we'd hit the stores, just in case the kids didn't get to go out trick-or-treating tonight. Sure enough, it was raining at about the time the little ones start the house to house tradition. Logan wanted to head out in the rain anyways. Ellie stayed home to pass out candy for a little while. But....the night turned out beautiful!! The rain stopped, the sun came out and there was an incredible double rainbow. Ellie joined us and we walked the streets with friends. So fun!!
Somehow the treats my kids get are a bit different from when I was a kid. Here is a sample of the FULL-SIZED candy bars they received. WHO passes those out??
And I thought this was interesting. The same candy bar in four different sizes, from full-size down to bite-size.
I love watching (and helping) the kids sort their loot after trick-or-treating. Just like when we were kids!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!

They really did get the mother load! Your kids looked so cute this year. Glad to hear they got lots and lots of treating done!
Ok so I am cracking up with the 4 sizes of Butterfinger. Dylan separated his candy and had 30 smarties and about 15 laffy taffy but my kids didn't get near the amount that yours did!
Yummy!
