Happy 16th Anniversary To Us!!!

Today Darin and I have been married 16 years. We will celebrate tonight by having dinner with the kids and showing them our wedding video. Darin surprised me with these flowers, even though we are not officially celebrating yet. Our official celebration will be in a week when we take a little get-away for two nights. (Without the kids.)

For number 16, I decided to write 16 random romantic, and some not-s0-romantic things that Darin has done for me over the years.

* Gave me a pearl ring.

*Buys me flowers for special occasions, as well as "just because".

*Had a cedar chest made for me.

*Brought me chocolate covered fruit when I was substitute teaching.

*Watches chick-flicks with me, even when it's painful for him

*Let's me sleep in on the weekends quite often.

*Makes me my favorite breakfast on the weekends...yellow pancakes. (Crepes)

*Washes the dishes. ALL the dishes. Every day. For over a year now.

*Dances with me. In the house. (Not in public.)

*Fills up perfectly hot tubs for me. This involves staying nearby while the water runs, to continue to adjust the temperature.

*Makes late-night runs to Maverick if I want a treat. (Even though he knows I shouldn't have the treat!)
*Once used his "Cabelas points" to buy me a sweatshirt. (Instead of some man-purchase.)

*Bought me awesome boots and coats.

*Is always the one suggesting we go on dates.

*Brings me little rocks or treasures from his hunting/camping trips. Cool looking ones.

*Carved our initials in a tree.
