Last Day of School Parties.

Tonight Ellie is on an overnighter with her girl cousins. Her aunts, Dalynn, Devarie, and Darla invited all the little girl cousins for a sleepover with swimming, pizza, movies, the works. So fun for her. Of course this meant that Logan was mad at the unfairness and injustice of the world, so he needed a party too. Can't blame him for that. So we planned a last minute end-of-school-late-night-party for him. He invited his regular neighborhood posse of friends. Wyatt, Ezra, Trenton, Devun, and Jackson, spanning a five year age range.
First the boys ran around outside playing make-believe games, which I love to see Logan do. Then we drove to a park to play for forty minutes. Then it was home for dinner. I wish I could say the orange things in the picture are carrots. But they are not--that's nasty puffy cheeto-things. And corn dogs and pizza and fruit punch. And lots of green grapes and pickles to try to counter-act the crud.
Then it was more outside running around. Then movie time. They watched Toy Story 3, with lots of treats, of course.
Then time for the fire fun. Lots more running around the yard, lots of warming up by the fire, and lots of roasted marshmallows and smores. (Cause we didn't have quite enough to eat yet!!)
The boys were all super good. I think it's the easiest official party we've ever had. Happy start of the summer Logan and buds!!
