Another log of what we did today. Some day, decades from now, the next generation will be intrigued with how I spent my days, right? I made cookies with Ellie. From scratch. I KNOW that is normal for most of you---but for me it is very out of the ordinary. I am trying to be more domestic these days. Does "domestic" include cleaning? Cuz that laundry from yesterday, and the new load from today....still not folded. And dinner tonight....Hamburger Helper. Now that's just wrong. I honestly NEVER make that stuff. But my kids have had it at friends homes, and have begged me for it. So they chose out the box at the store. I also NEVER buy ground beef...also just wrong!!! But, I have had a package from a food co-op in the freezer forever. Makes for a very nasty meal. And I am not sure it can even be considered domestic??
The kids slept in 'til 8:30!!!!! They needed that!! We have had a much better day today. Upon waking, they proceeded to build a mountain of blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals on the couch. Whatever. At least pulling all that stuff from their rooms made the bedrooms look really clean.
Went to swimming lessons, and stayed for a picnic by the lake. Hung out with friends who happened to also be at the pool today.
It's been friends, friends, friends for the remainder of the day. I did give them one hour on the Wii since it's Friday. But other than that, they have been playing like crazy outside--which I LOVE!! They were in the backyard for over two hours!!! Five boys and Ellie.
"Oh what do you do in the summertime?"
June is flying by way too fast!!! (Of course two days ago I would have said it is dragging on forever!!)

It has been a major friends summer, hasn't it? Good times. At least we've been productive too :) I can't believe you don't buy ground beef!! That's our staple! Your cookies look delicious-- and the brownies you sent us were gobbled up FAST!
Those cookies look delish!
