As of late...

Random fun we've been having the past week or so...
COWABUNGA BAY
Free entrance to Cowabunga Bay with the kids pediatric Dentist group. It was PACKED...they had to turn people away because the park had reached capacity. The kids seemed oblivious to the numbers of people there. Darin didn't even bother getting into his suit and I opted out entirely and headed to Costco.

FROGGY FUN
Our most recent summer field trip. Froggy fun! We had the local frog expert come teach us all about frogs, and how to catch them in the lake and ponds around here. The day before, I had my Activity Day girls make these cupcakes for the froggy fun refreshments.

I was a little disappointed because the frog gal didn't have any big ole frogs in tow. But one family brought this little guy to share. Logan came in close juts as I was about to snap a pic of the frog. Guess he wanted to look that little hopper in the eye!

We had a big turn out, and were happy, as always, to spend time with Amy G. and girls.

PLAYIN' IN THE LAKE
Playing in the lake with friends. Logan, Ellie and Paige.

Logan plunging off the dock.

The girls contemplating the jump.

One...two...THREE!!!!

This was Ellie's (and Paige's) first time ever jumping off the bridge. And like everything Ellie does, she jumps all graceful-like with a pose!!

THANKSGIVING POINT
Thanksgiving Point Children's Garden and water play area.

Yesterday we headed to the Point with Amy G. and Crystal M. and kids. It was a HOT day, but the kids didn't seem to mind a bit. They had a great time splashing about and touring the Children's Garden areas.

So many cute little girls in the group!! We didn't see much of the two boys, as Logan and Dallon were bored with the water play and off in the rest of the garden most of the time.

This is a really fun place! We had never been before, and want to come back on a day that is not so very hot outside. Might even buy annual passes to the gardens....so much to see and do there.

Thanks Amy, and Crystal for the fun time !!

Ellie has still been going to summer cheer class every week. I am now in the annual stage of deciding what to have the kids involved in this fall. I do NOT like this stage!! School supplies are all bought and stuffed in backpacks. Today we go through the kids clothes to decide what they do and hopefully don't need for school. Ellie went to a birthday party at the Tooele pool. The kids and Darin went to a ward party at Deseret Peak pool last night for three hours...said it was awesome because our ward had the whole place to themselves. I stayed home and did school stuff for three hours. Tonight we get to go to a pre-screening of the new Disney movie, "The odd live of Timothy Green", I think it's called. The Utah Adoption Council organized this movie screening for all those touched by adoption. The kids are excited and we are all looking forward to hitting IKEA before the movie. And that....is a little bit of what we have been up to .....as of late.
