Dean and Michele invited everyone for a BBQ at their sprawling place on Labor Day. I was determined to stay right in this house the entire Labor Day weekend.....but the gathering drew me in, or course! Doesn't this hammock look like heaven? Ellie and Raigan had the right idea!
Oh to be a kid again! Shortly after we arrived, they all found a handful of tint frogs and one little fat toad. Those little hoppers were loved up for hours. I won't say if they all lived to see the next day....or if any of them made it into the cars and vans to go back home to various homes. Little Eric just wanders about in his own element...and goes out to the edge of the yard to visit the dog, Lucky. And the bug chair...well, it's just cute! Apparently it was Ben's was he was little...and now he's ten, so that chair has made the rounds a few times.

This just cracks me up. These are not Logan and Ellie's plates...but they very well could have been. First child is having finger Jell-O and chips for dinner, and the second child is having finger Jell-O and grapes for dinner. Funny stuff!!
A few of us couldn't get enough of this....snuggling the newest cousin, little baby Kaden.
There were guns. And shooting. This was a JONES gathering, after-all. You can see a group on the left shooting clay pigeons, and the little group on the right is Darin and the littles shooting our kids BB guns.
But never mind the shooting....check out the views!! To the west and the north, this is what Dean and Michele see. I love it. I want it. (Minus the mondo mosquitoes.)

are you EVER home??? Are you sure those plates weren't yours?? JK! That would totally be what Anika would put on her plates both of them! she is the worlds pickiest eat!! :)
