Daugs Family Christmas Party 2013.

This year the party hosting fell to Bryan and Amy. So, of course they had to fly to Utah where most of us are, to throw the party. (Seeing the kids for Christmas could have also been a small motivation.) Thank heavens they had to come here because Amy and I are living on two different planets and don't get around to space travel nearly enough!!

We had a great time hanging out all together, eating great food, playing the white elephant game, and submitting our items for a 20 year family time capsule!! Wow, that will be fun to open in 2033!!

The kids loved playing with cousins....it's seriously one of their favorite things to do! We opted out of going to a movie with everyone, just so the kids could have more of the day to play together. Logan and a bunch of the crew made some serious use of the basketball hoop at the party.

The Wagstaff branch couldn't make it to the party. We are so glad Courtney and Levi represented them! And...they brought an awesome box of See's chocolates, courtesy of absentee Queen Kimerly! Thanks Kim!! Court and I couldn't bare to have any with small bites taken out of them.....so we opted to cut them all in half right up front, so people knew what they were getting. And in true Winnie fashion, Rachel and I snagged the only two scotch Mallows!

Big announcement: Luckily when dad is too choked up to speak, Jill can do the talking. They were sharing the news that they had just been called to serve a new kind of a full-time mission. It will be right in Cache Valley, so they will live at home. 18 month mission, starting out by going to the MTC. Awesome! We are so excited for you guys! (And pretty happy you are not leaving the country!! Or the state!!)

After the party died down, a bunch of us spent time at the house. The kids love playing there and i just love being there. Home. It was fun to see some of the oldest family ornaments on Rachel's tree.

More cousin time for a couple of hours. And we got to spent a little time with these two so sweet boys!! most cuddly things ever!

Something about Christmas makes me all nostalgic for my extended home and family. It was the perfect day spending time with everyone! Merry Christmas everyone! See you in a week or so!
